Clyde D’Mello is a practicing artist since 2009 and educator since 2014, he is a collector of zines and comic books. Graduated form Chitrakala Parishath ( 2009) and Santiniketan (KalaBhavan) VishwaBharathi University ( West Bengal) ( 2012) with a bachelors and masters degree in the history of art. He has had exhibitions in Delhi, Kolkata, Baroda and Bangalore, in 2018 he took part in the sketchbook project a Brooklyn ( New York) based art museum that museumize’s sketchbook from around the world, he was recently awarded the ABIKO open air Art exhibition 2017 ( art residency) and had his first solo in the YTP exhibition in Alliance Franciase de Bangalore titled Man and the skull in 2016.
He is the founder of the H.A.N.D collective ( a collective for encouraging art practice and making zines). From 2014 to 2018 he was teaching at AID ( Asian Institute of Design) with a myriad of subjects such as Art history, Comic Design, product design and Critical theory at present he teaches History of Indian art, architecture and culture at NIFT Bangalore since 2018.
